Hawai‘i has been a part of the Michaels family for over ten years. Starting with the renovation of Kuhio Park Towers in 2013, Michaels now manages six residential communities, including four owned and developed by Michaels and two communities owned by California-based Highridge Costa.

The Michaels Organization’s Hawai‘i Portfolio

  • Towers at Kuhio Park

    Kuhio Park Terrace has provided much needed affordable housing to Hawai‘i’s families for more than 45 years. Michaels’ renovation of the Towers marked the 1st public-private partnership between a private developer and the State of Hawaii to transform public housing.

  • Hale Moena Kupuna

    Hale Moena Kupana is the first high-rise residential development in Kapolei, Hawai‘i. It is the first phase of a three-phase, mixed-use community for families and seniors on the island of O’ahu. This development is reserved for low-income seniors aged 55 years and older.

  • Hale Moena Ohana

    Hale Moena Ohana is the second phase of a three-phase, mixed-use community for families and seniors in Kapolei, Hawai‘i on the island of O’ahu. Hale Moena Ohana offers 143 units of family housing for residents earning 30%-60% of the Area Median Income.

    Keahumoa Place is located on the west side of the island of Oahu on historic sugarcane fields recently repurposed for housing expansion in the City and County of Honolulu’s plans for a “Second City” to provide convenient access to government services to the growing population and to create an affordable housing market.

    Lei Kupuna is located on the steep slope of Hualalai Mountain in North Kona on Hawaii Island. It is the senior community of the master-planned Kamakana Villages developed in partnership with Michaels, the State of Hawai‘i‘s Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) and Forest City Hawaii Kona, LLC (Forest City).
